5 Healthy and Delicious Snacks

A great way to combat stress is cooking, and although these snacks are super easy, not really classified as 'cooking', you can enjoy something healthy and delicious that you put together yourself. So I have 5 simple snacks that use a few basic ingredients; chia seeds, banana, peanut/almond butter, oats, yogurt.

I love making my own healthy snacks after school and some of these you can prepare the day before if you know that you will be busy and won't have time to make breakfast or eat proper meals. They all taste delicious and because they use roughly the same ingredients it makes creating (and eating) these budget friendly, healthy, delicious and easy.

PB&Banana Corn cakes
Super simple all you have to do is spread peanut or almond butter over a corn cake and add a some slices of banana. Really tasty, delicious and a quick snack.

PB&Oat Apple Slices
Similar to the snack before you add your nut spread on top of apple slices, add a sprinkle of oats and voila! You are getting in your daily fruit plus protein from the oats. Rolled oats are a healthier option of granola. Most store bought granola comes with heaps of super. I have a Banoffee granola recipe here. It may not be the healthiest, but you know all the ingredients going into it.

Banana Milkshake
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 3 cubes of ice
- 1 cup of light milk
- 1/3 cup of low fat yogurt
-small handful of rolled oats
- 1 tsp of chia seeds
-small squirt of honey

Add all ingredients into a blender and whiz it up baby! That's it, super simple and you get your daily fruit, protein and it fills you up. This is more of a small meal and is a really good breakfast on the go option.

My personal favourite - Chia seed yogurt/pudding
Add 1-2 teaspoons of Chia seeds into a small bowl of low fat yogurt. Place in the fridge for at least 10-15 minutes, for the super seeds to soak up the yogurt.
Chia seeds are a super food and they are really good for you with fibre, antioxidants, protein, omega 3 plus loads more benefits that dramatically boost the nutritional value of your food. Once the seeds have soaked up the yogurt or no longer hard and crunchy you can add some rolled oats and a little drizzle of pure honey.

Frozen Grapes - Now these are the easiest all you have to do is put some grapes into the freezer. It literally makes grapes taste 100% times better and they become super refreshing.

Will you be trying any of these out?
