Another month down, another month closer to my birthday and
Christmas! The best time of the year. I have many new beauty favs for this
month that I have been absolutely loving to bits. September saw the end of another
school term and majority of the spring holidays. With the weather heating up
and no school I was bound for a few beauty splurges.
Most of the items you may have seen in my recent beauty haul
so I won’t talk about them much here, but if you want to have a read, just
Sephora Brand Nail Vanish - in 'walk on the wild side':
First up the second Sephora store in Australia just opened up this month and so close to my house. Oh my, it is amazing! I picked up a few things, one being this gorgeous nail polish. How sick is the colour? As soon as I saw it I knew I ‘needed’ it. It is very duo-chrome with a mixture of blues, greens and metallic shades. I’ve been wearing it ever since I got it and I’m in love!
The next five items I picked up together and are featured in my haul. As I said before I want rabble on much about these products, but I lucked out with these impulse buys!
Ill say a quick word for each:
Rimmel Sun Shimmering Bronzer: not to shimmery, love how big it is and a beautiful shade that is definitely not orange in the slightest!
Maybelline Master Sculpt Contouring Duo – in light: very natural contouring shade, perfect for a light makeup look. I love this compact mostly for the highlighter and how well it stays. There is a bonus mirror and brush underneath the product too!
Maybelline The Nudes
Palette: very pigmented, creamy and a gorgeous range of colours. Not much
else to say except that I’ve been using it a lot and the packaging is sturdy
and slim
Maybelline Colour
Tattoo 24hr Stay – in ‘bad to the bronze’: what a lovely product. Looks best
applied with fingers for more pigmentation and blended out with a brush. Amazing and so simple
worn by itself or a great base for a more dramatic eye look. And yes it does
last 24 hours which is bloody amazing.
Also a quick mention of my henna which I recently did and might be a new obsession, though it did take two hours (its not permanent, lasts for around 2 weeks)
Collection Lasting
Perfection Concealer: super full coverage, quite thick and as I am the
lightest shade it is great to brighten under the eyes. A shade darker than this for me I
reckon would cover blemishes like a dream. Packing not too great but you can’t
complain when it is this cheap!
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara: at first I didn't like this, and I think it was the formula. But for the price (it is definitely not drugstore) I wanted to keep tying it out. I've used many mascaras before with a similar brush so I it was narrowed down to the formula. But since it has dried out a little bit, I'm liking it more and more. It lasts for ages, doesn't fallout or smudge underneath my lower lash line. It really helps to lengthen your lashes which is awesome. I apply with a light hand to avoid it looking clumpy.
Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadow - in Thunderstruck: another Sephora purchase! WOW this is amazing, my first Kat Von D purchase and I'll be back for more. The photos don't do it any justice. The packaging it so sleek and chic and it is more metallic in real life. It is an eye shadow pigment so you get good colour and staying power. I've especially loved using this as a highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones but it is quite a light shade.
Hope you enjoyed some beauty bits worth talking about!
