How To: Desk Makeover

Something that's always on the top of my to do list is clearing out my desk and giving it a makeover. However I usually don't have time for a task that for me would require tons of planning, looking on Pinterest and online shopping... or maybe its just procrastination. Either way I am postponning my desk makeover to help you all makeover your desks with a little inspiration and retail therapy.

First up some gorgeous photos from of course, Pinterest to spark some motivation and envy.

*Disclaimer* all photos belong to their respective owners and I do not claim to own any of these images. If you would like to visit the websites you can click here to the Pinterest page

After some online browsing I found some gems to spice things up in the desk department. Probably wouldn't recommend putting all these pieces together, I just wanted to give a variety of styles, but if that is the look you are going for by all means.

First up,

A nice beachy vibe going on here and a sweet optical allusion, love it!

Geometric shapes are all the thing now and what better than having them in natural materials, that double for storage!

We all need a little greenery, or flowers and I think this vase is lovely. Going along the metal trend is this old school chair, revamped to be an interesting desk chair (add a cushion for comfort).

More metal and more wood, these are two stylish desk necessities.

A matching stapler to the tape dispenser and a funky geometric paper weight with a hint a metalic on the bottom. I think we can see a trend here.

Macrames are all the rage now and this homemade piece would add a lovely element to the wall above/ next to your desk. Of course no desk is complete without the time, and this lovely number from IKEA would do just fine next to some prints and frames.

So I hope you now have a little inspiration and motivation to tackle to desk, like me... though lets be honest I will do this in a couple months *puts reminder in phone*
