The second part to our American travels was again in Iowa, this time in Ames. We were staying at Iowa State University for the Future Problem Solving International Conference. This was the main reason we were in America. We had been working on a project for a year and a half and after coming second in Australian nationals, we were lucky enough to make it through to internationals. Even better all our hard work paid off when we went through to come first in Community Problem Solving. It still hasn't really sunk in because we were just one team and there were so many countries, but we are so grateful and proud to be representing Australia. This win really made the rest of our travels a holiday because we had something to celebrate.
Our stay at Iowa State University was filled with lots of fun adventures, memories and an unforgettable experience. The facilities were great, along with the food and the weather was sunny and warm for the most part. Lots of Iowa State merchandise was bought and appartenly I am now a Cyclone (their mascot!).
