Gift wrapping #3 - DIY

I'm always over Pinterest browsing cute ways to wrap presents. Being one of my most pinned boards I decided to mix up a few ideas.

So here's how I created this cute wrapping paper for my friends birthday.

You will need:
White paper
Coloured paper
Scissors
Foam/ Stamps of your choice
Stamp Ink
Twine/ Ribbon
Sticky tape

Start by measuring and cutting out how much paper you will need.

I wanted a circle stamp so I cut out two circles of the same size out of some foam.

Using ink of your choice (I went for blue because my friend loves dolphins), press the stamp or foam into the ink and transfer onto paper.

Repeat this step as needed. I got about three goes of stamping onto the paper before I needed more ink.

This is what my paper looked like when all the stamping was done, and boy was I all stamped out. Let it dry for at least 45 minutes.

For a cute little detail in the wrapping, it is nice to personalise your gift with a tag in the shape of something significant to them. As I said before my friend is obsessed with dolphins so I free handed some dolphins on white and blue paper. I probably should have used a picture to help me and they do look a little funny, but it is the thought that counts.

I also stamped the card envelop to so it matched with the gift.

After your wrapping paper is dry you can wrap up your present!

Add twine now for a rustic look, but if you don't have twine a ribbon in the same colour scheme will work too.

Before you finish tying up the twine/ ribbon add your personalised gift tag, and that's it you are finished and you can be proud of your gorgeous gift that the recipent will already love before they open it!
