Party Planning - Part 3 (Decorations)

So a quick post but before I get into it I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and if you don't celebrate Christmas I hope you had a lovely day none the less!

This is the third post in this series and if you are new then this series is about how I plan a party and the elements in making a memorable night! Hope it helps and maybe you will get some inspiration.

My party was a couple of weeks ago and as you can imagine a very busy time of the year. Honestly where did December go! The time flew past me and before I knew it the party was very close so it wasn't exactly how I would have liked it, it was only a small party for my birthday but it was the first day of the holidays so a great evening to end the school year.

This post is on the decorations and like I said before the time flew by and I didn't get to make most the the decorations so it was quite minimal. When having decorations you need to think about where they will go according to where people will be and around the food area. If its inside then most decorations will be suitable but in m case it was outside-ish. Leading up to the day if was storming everyday and was likely to rain on the day.Lucky for me I knew I could use the garage for the food area and a place for people to hang out. It did rain but all was well as the decorations were all under cover and everyone was dry. The cake and dessert was inside after we rushed everyone inside before the storm got heavy.

Little labels for each snack!

Black and Pink balloons! You can never go wrong with balloons right.

I spray painted these cute little frames gold and added a picture of Daisy and Gatsby which I found on the wonderful internet! Plus some pink ribbon because if you haven't noticed my theme colors are pink black and gold.

Put up some pink and black streamers around the garage and on the patio

Last minute I threw together this table piece of pink flowers, white ostrich feathers from eBay and some twigs I found in my garden, which I spray painted gold. We used a plastic table cloth that was white with pink diamonds and it pulled together the table.

Lucky last for outside we bought these cute pink pom poms. Really inexpensive purchase from the party store and can be used over and over again for many occasions. The great thing about them is that they look great and after the party they can be folded down and stored away.

So there you guys go some quick ways to decorate for an event and on a budget too! Hope you all enjoyed and I will see you soon for some December favorites!!!
