After Venice we caught a train to Verona for only a few days. I was excited to see Verona and it was really lovely. It was a beautiful city that should be recognized more, because it had a lovely atmosphere especially in the center. Another good thing about Verona was the size and population. Although we stayed outside of the main 'city' it wasn't busy and it wasn't a huge city either. So it wasn't like you had to travel to many different places. You could just spend a day walking around looking at the sights, eating in lovely restaurants (the best ones weren't on the main street) and looking in the shops.
Hope you enjoyed!

Looks good. I'm off here in a month, any must do's while I'm there?
ReplyDeleteHey Sam! Verona is lovely and obviously go to the Colosseum it is nice inside very different to the one in Rome, more practical and during there summer there are opera shows. A tip for restaurants is try finding small restaurants in the lanes. On our first night we went to one on the main street it was alright but on the second night we went to an AMAZING restaurant in a lane. Sorry I can't remember the name, but it is places like these that highlight your holiday and are pure Italian food, not looking / catering for tourist. Hope you have a lovely time!
